What is Sugar?
- Sugar is a simple carbohydrate that naturally forms in plants such as sugarcane and sugar beets.
- Sugar is best described as a sweet white crystalline substance often found in the form of table sugar.

Free Sugars
Free sugars are concentrated sugars and are also called monosaccharides and dissacharides. They are pretty much the same thing as artificial/added sugars in the fact that they have the same effect on the body which is that too much is not good for your health. Free sugar are also found naturally in products such as honey, fruit juice and maple syrup.
